Jason’s career in wealth management began while still a senior at The University of Texas as an intern with Merrill Lynch in 1998. Upon graduation and the completion of his internship, he was immediately offered one of the few positions available to join their rigorous and competitive training program. After the successful launch of his career at Merrill Lynch, Jason decided to join Peggy at Smith Barney in 2003 to form what became The Willow Bend Group.

In an effort to provide a better experience for their clients, Jason and the team decided to join Wells Fargo Advisors in 2012 and continued to build their practice over the next ten years. Looking to expand their team while continuing to deliver customized wealth planning solutions, Willow Bend Wealth Management, now Willow Bend Wealth Management of Merritt Point Wealth Advisors was launched in September of 2022 as an independent advisory firm.

Jason attained the CFP® designation in 2009 consistent with the team’s belief in comprehensive Financial Planning as a critical component to client success.

Along with his wife, Lauren, Jason accompanies his daughter, Hadley, on her many lacrosse tournaments across the country. In addition, he enjoys nurturing his son Haden’s passion for hunting and fishing as well as never missing a chance to cheer him on from the sidelines of the football field.
